Cybersecurity Manager

Overview

Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned and collaborative Cybersecurity Manager to lead and develop MPOWERHealth’s security team. This hands-on leadership role will guide day-to-day security efforts, build team capability, and partner with senior technology leadership to define and execute a strategic security roadmap. You will spend approximately 80% of your time actively working alongside your team and 20% on strategic and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of security analysts, providing mentorship, oversight, and professional development.
  • Drive the security program by identifying gaps, designing controls, and implementing key initiatives.
  • Coordinate security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align security goals with company objectives.
  • Oversee audits, policy development, and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA).
  • Stay ahead of industry threats and evolving risks, guiding proactive defense strategies.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and security advisor across departments.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud and on-prem security practices, Microsoft security stack.
  • Experience building and maturing security programs and teams.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC strongly preferred.
