Skills
- Basic math skills with understanding of material types and labor/equipment resources.
- Familiarity with production-based bidding methodology.
- Industry knowledge of duct bank installation and backfilling.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel software.
- Experience with InEight estimating software preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Review plans and details, perform take-offs, prepare costing, and write proposals for submission.
- Draft and submit clarification questions to clients regarding unclear or incomplete scopes.
- Determine scope self-performance feasibility and coordinate with service providers.
- Solicit material vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure all materials are accounted for.
- Understand installation methods, material types, specifications, and nuances specific to dry utility projects.
- Develop budgetary proposals and revise them as needed to build strong client relationships.
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
