About the position:
Netskope is seeking an attorney with the ability to demonstrate substantial experience in negotiating and drafting a broad range of commercial contracts and a comprehensive awareness of potential issues and solutions in a fast-paced environment. Experience as an attorney in both law firm and in house roles preferred. Experience handling employment matters considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiating, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements including SaaS subscription agreements, network services agreements, reseller/distributor agreements, vendor agreements, leases and OEM licenses
- Interaction with customers and business partners
- Providing recommendations to management and internal business partners on strategic alternatives and compliance requirements
- Acquisitions and related diligence
- Assistance with processes and policies for compliance in various areas such as open source, FCPA and export
- Support Finance, HR, Products, Engineering, Sales and other business groups as needed with any legal requests that may arise.
Requirements:
- 4 to 8 years of transactional experience working for technology companies, preferably SaaS/Cloud service businesses
- Problem-solving in quickly moving situations
- Negotiating contracts with customers, suppliers and technology partners
- Drafting documents using a commercial, client-focused style
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Cooperating effectively as part of a team, sharing information and responsibility
- Maintaining a controlled and flexible approach under pressure
- Providing responsive, professional service that effectively helps internal clients to resolve issues
- Commercially astute and desire to stay current on key legal and business developments
Education:
- Juris Doctor
- Bar Admission and in good standing
