We are looking for Collector Car Insurance Sales Specialists to join our growing high-performance sales team.

 

As an Collector Car Insurance Sales Specialist, you'll play a key role in driving growth by making outbound calls to qualified leads. Our leads are generated organically via customer inquiry and outbound calls are made easier with the use of various systems and tools, including a power dialer (an automated system that streamlines outbound calling to maximize efficiency).

 

We are a niche specialty insurance company, so our market is unique. To sell our products you’ll need to understand our underwriting guidelines and make eligibility decisions.

 

In this role you'll be responsible for closing new business and performing basic risk assessment to ensure policy eligibility. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, self-motivated professionals who can work independently, build rapport quickly, and sell with confidence—while maintaining our high standards of underwriting integrity.

 

This role can be done in-office, hybrid or fully virtual from anywhere in the continental US. Our office is located in Mt Laurel, NJ.

Compensation: $50-55k/yr depending on experience level

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Performance: engage warm leads, making a high-volume of outbound calls using a power dialer to pursue web and phone leads during calling hours with urgency and enthusiasm
  • Create and Convert Opportunities: establish rapport, explain coverage benefits, overcome objections, and convert prospects into policyholders—consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Basic Risk Assessment: evaluate application details to assess eligibility, ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, and recommend appropriate coverages
  • Efficient & Accurate Processing: close deals quickly while maintaining compliance with underwriting standards and documentation requirements in CRM and policy administration system
  • Take Ownership of Your Process: take initiative, test new approaches, find creative ways to win and bring consistency to your performance in a way that works for you
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: create a fast, friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer experience from first call to final sale, this includes setting clear expectations with prospects regarding next steps and follow-up communication timeline
  • Maximize Every Interaction: ask for referrals, upsell when appropriate, and always look for ways to grow the book of business

 

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required:

  • Valid P&C Insurance license
  • Demonstrated success in outbound sales or call center environments
  • Strong verbal communication, objection handling, and closing skills
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to manage time and productivity independently
  • High resilience and comfort with repetitive calling and rejection with a relentless drive to hit and exceed goals
  • Critical analysis and attention to detail to make good decisions regarding risk assessment and eligibility
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus)

Preferred:

  • Prior insurance underwriting or risk assessment compliance experience
  • Experience using power dialers and CRM systems
