Responsibilities

Paradyme, a CATHEXIS Company is hiring a Scrum Master.  The candidate will bring Scrum Master experience to support a government program in a fast-paced, Agile delivery environment. This role requires a strong foundation in Scrum and Kanban, with experience applying Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices in support of complex, multi-team federal initiatives. Familiarity with operating in a government contract environment and facilitating complex cross-function coordination is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams supporting federal program delivery.
• Facilitate key Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Owners and government stakeholders to prioritize and refine backlogs that align with program/project objectives.
• Ensure teams adhere to Agile values and practices while working within contract scope and federal delivery constraints.
• Identify and remove impediments; escalate issues when needed to program leadership.
• Support SAFe practices across teams, including participation in PI planning, Scrum of Scrums, and system demos.
• Maintain and report upon Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts, flow efficiency) and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in related field or area of expertise.
• 6+ year information technology experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting agile teams and conducting agile delivery processes.
• Proficiency with Agile tools Jira and Confluence.
• Experience supporting program increment (PI) planning and mapping cross-team dependencies following SAFe principles.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or similar Agile certification strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements: These are the essential physical requirements needed to successfully perform the job.

• Sedentary work.
• Requires sitting up to 8 hours per day.
• May require lifting up to 5 pounds unassisted.
• Fine repetitive motor skills with hands, wrists, and fingers in coordination with eyes.
• Hearing, speaking, and vision: Adequate to perform job duties and communicate in person, via video, and telephone. Includes reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
• Other: Work may be performed in an office environment, which may involve frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times.
