Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join us as part of our team! In this role, you will be at the heart of our mission and responsible for the Gist.ai front-end service and consumer experience. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software. This is an in-office role at our location in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders and other stakeholders to define software requirements and deliver solutions that meet our business needs

• Design scalable, reliable, and secure software applications & infrastructure

• Support the team's technical decision-making, code reviews, and build best practices for Gist.ai

• Optimize existing code to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with relevant software engineering experience

• 8+ years of professional software development experience (with 5+ years in frontend technologies, including React, Svelte, NodeJS and NextJS)

• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices

• Proficiency in Typescript for frontend codebases, and Python for backend services

• Familiarity with performance optimization focused on user experience

• Full stack familiarity with REST APIs

• Strong diagnostics skills and debugging skills

• Solid understand of CSS styling and layout

• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, Keycloak, Cookies, & Session management)

• Excellent communication and analytics skills

• Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on experimentation with AI models

• Keen understanding of UX principles and working on consumer apps.

• Able to collaborate closely with designers and implement from Figma specifications.

Work Environment

Location: This position is Onsite. This role is based at our Bellevue WA office location, and employees are expected to work on-site during regular business hours.

Compensation

The compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. The estimated salary range for this role is 160,000 - 200,000 USD.
