Mechanical Design Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Solidworks, NX, Inventor).
- Experience with structural analysis and composite structure manufacturing support.
- Capability to design parts for manufacturing processes including 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to perform FEA and hand calculations for mechanical design validation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership as Design Responsible Engineer for multiple mechanical design components through all product lifecycle stages.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on design, prototyping, testing, and documentation of flight-critical mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to develop tools and processes facilitating in-house part production.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and fabricators to guarantee quality and timely delivery.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
