Instrumentation Engineer II

Relativity Space is pioneering aerospace innovation by developing rockets like the Terran R, combining creativity and technical rigor in a high-impact environment. They seek an Instrumentation Engineer II to contribute to avionics hardware development, testing, and integration, helping to drive the next generation of space launch technology.

Skills

  • Knowledge of data acquisition and sensor technologies
  • Capability to execute complex testing and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in developing and documenting test procedures
  • Strong attention to detail in calibration and configuration documentation
  • Excellent communication to provide engineering feedback

Responsibilities

  • Understand data acquisition techniques, sensor functionality, and data processing
  • Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting of instrumentation at component and integrated levels
  • Develop and execute test procedures, install instructions, and checkout processes
  • Document instrumentation sensor calibrations and as-built configurations during manufacturing
  • Provide feedback to design engineering to improve products and data quality
  • Take ownership of instrumentation installations as part of a dynamic team

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field
