Responsibilities
· Lead, manage, and support Compliance Managers across the portfolio, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
· Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the VP of Compliance and senior leadership.
· Ensure alignment of compliance practices across properties and consistency in team operations.
· Oversee and supervise audits of regulatory records to ensure adherence to LIHTC, HUD, PHA, and other affordable program requirements.
· Ensure accurate, timely completion and submission of all internal and external reporting, including annual state agency LIHTC compliance reports.
· Maintain expert knowledge of all affordable housing programs relevant to Roers Companies' existing and future portfolio.
· Build and maintain strong working relationships with housing finance agencies, HUD, PHAs, investors, and other regulatory entities.
· Manage relationships with third-party compliance vendors to ensure alignment with company standards and regulatory needs.
· Develop and implement company-wide compliance policies and procedures in accordance with evolving regulations.
· Analyze compliance reports and trends, providing actionable insights to operations and leadership teams.
· Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of HUD documents, including rent increases, AFHMP’s, and TSP’s.
· Direct the design and delivery of program compliance training to ensure team competency and regulatory adherence.
· Support property-level compliance efforts and provide guidance on certification processes, resident file management, and lease-up activities.
· Ensure professional, respectful, and responsive communication with residents, partners, and internal stakeholders.
· Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, in alignment with business needs and organizational goals.

Compensation and Benefits for Director of Compliance:
Pay Range: $133,700 - $179,400
Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
