Merchandise Photo Technical Trainer

The Photo Technical Trainer works with Merchandise Senior Leadership to monitor, track, and ensure the financial and developmental success of the Photo department locations.

What you get to do:

  • Provide detailed systems and equipment training to Photo ambassadors, ensuring familiarity with all tools and processes.
  • Conduct hands-on camera handling practice sessions to reinforce proper techniques and settings.
  • Perform continuous audits and check-ins with Photo ambassadors to monitor performance and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Review character interactions and photography skills to ensure consistency with Sesame Place’s standards for guest engagement, character interaction, and photo quality.
  • Create and analyze reports to track trends, performance, and areas for improvement across the Photo team.
  • Work closely with Colorvision support to identify opportunities for process improvement, equipment optimization, and team development.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor teams to implement targeted training sessions based on performance data and feedback.
  • Assist in maintaining high-quality guest experiences by supporting the team in understanding and delivering photo services.

What else is important:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have at least two (2) years of internal Merchandise Photo Leadership experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period
  • Must have availability that meets the business needs of the position; including ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays and abide by our Holiday and Availability agreement
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment; must be able to work independently
  • Must possess a high level of problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a knowledge of computer programs and databases including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; Knowledge of MMS preferred
  • Able to push/pull/lift/carry 50 lbs or more on an occasional basis; frequent extensive walking, standing, occasional climbing; work environment varies from indoors in air-conditioned space to outdoor work in all weather conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, rain and cold).
  • Must be willing to comply with all grooming standards and SEA employment standards
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
  • Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement
  • Must be willing to comply and ensure all team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
