Skills
- 7-10+ years backend and cloud development experience.
- 2+ years production experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, monitoring, and alerting.
- 3+ years managing large production PostgreSQL environments.
- Expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Go and Python, especially with Kubernetes APIs.
- Experience with messaging/event streaming platforms like NATs or Kafka.
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance the SmarterDx development platform capabilities.
- Build, deploy, maintain, and monitor AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Develop Kubernetes custom controllers in Go and deploy libraries in Python and Typescript.
- Collaborate with Security Engineering to implement secure system patterns.
- Manage database reliability and performance for PostgreSQL clusters.
- Provide database expertise for engineering reviews and optimizations.
- Automate database infrastructure and create self-service tools for engineering teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
