Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to join our dining team at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. Nestled just minutes from Boston, Merrimack is one of the fastest-growing educational institutions in the country, offering a vibrant campus life in a scenic, residential setting. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong retail background who is passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience to students, faculty, and guests.

As Retail Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day retail food service operations across multiple dining outlets, including national and in-house brands.

What You'll Do

  • Leading, coaching, and developing hourly retail food service staff

  • Delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a welcoming dining environment

  • Managing point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensuring accurate cash-handling procedures

  • Ensuring compliance with Sodexo’s food and physical safety standards

  • Conducting brand audits to maintain consistency with retail concept standards

  • Overseeing merchandising, marketing, product ordering, and vendor compliance

  • Coordinating opening and closing procedures for retail locations

  • Managing digital and physical signage for marketing and communication needs

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in retail food operations or hospitality management

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Understanding of retail branding, merchandising, and marketing principles

  • Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and vendor management

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

  • A passion for delivering quality food and memorable service in a fast-paced, collegiate environment

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
