What You’ll Do
✅ Procure trucks, secure delivery rates, and coordinate shipments for our internal sites and third-party facilities.
✅ Communicate closely with plants, terminals and customer service teams to confirm delivery schedules.
✅ Monitor inventory levels with business units to ensure delivery readiness.
✅ Respond to transportation-related inquiries and resolve service issues professionally.
✅ Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities in shipping operations.
✅ Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external carriers.
✅ Crosstrain within the team and support broader transportation functions.
✅ Develop and deliver training content to strengthen team capabilities.
✅ Apply sound decision-making skills using data, timelines and operational insights.
What You’ll Bring
✔ High school diploma or GED (required).
✔ 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics or a related environment.
✔ Strong working knowledge of DOT regulations (49CFR) and NMFC guidelines.
✔ Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
✔ Effective communication, active listening and conflict resolution skills.
✔ Ability to perform under pressure, manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
✔ Strong negotiation and carrier management experience.
✔ Team player with a big-picture mindset and strong personal accountability.
✔ Comfortable training others and sharing knowledge with teammates.
Physical Requirements
🔹 Frequent movement, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching and hearing.
🔹 Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
