Responsibilities
- Act as primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing great rapport
- Perform preliminary clinical data collection including autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, and lensometry
- Support in-person and video assisted eye exams
- Deliver insertion and removal training for new contact lens wearers and train additional team members
- Manage patient flow through the eye exam process efficiently
- Maintain accurate medical records and prepare reports as needed
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and company privacy policies
- Maintain and organize exam room supplies and equipment cleanliness
- Support retail sales team as directed by Store Leader
Education
- Completion of Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
