Chief Operating Officer

WellPower is a nationally recognized mental health leader seeking a strategic, mission-driven Chief Operating Officer to lead operational excellence, support high-quality care, and enhance community mental health outcomes in Denver.

Skills

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage and direct complex projects with pragmatic solutions.
  • High business acumen including policies, procedures, and quality improvement.
  • Understanding of laws and regulatory compliance for mental health providers.
  • Financial acumen with knowledge of complex financial models and revenue sources.
  • Technology proficiency including health records and communication systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and community partners.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with delegation ability.

Responsibilities

  • Implement best practices in customer satisfaction, operational alignment, and caregiver engagement.
  • Ensure patient safety and positive clinical outcomes working with medical leadership.
  • Supervise Vice Presidents for clinical services and collaborate on clinical and operational strategies.
  • Champion continual process improvement across the organization.
  • Establish procedures for leadership development and management succession.
  • Maintain high-quality service standards, communication, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support collaboration, employee engagement, and excellent customer service.
  • Represent the organization in external committees and regulatory discussions.
  • Oversee compliance with laws, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Coordinate projects and provide leadership to executive teams.
  • Advocate for a culture of well-being, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective resource stewardship.
  • Complete organization-wide projects as assigned by the CEO.
  • Promote trauma-informed environments supporting well-being.

Education

  • Master’s degree in mental health services, business operations, healthcare administration, quality systems, or related field.
