Every enterprise spends millions of dollars on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). It's one of the most critical, yet universally painful, parts of running a business. For decades, this industry has been dominated by legacy systems with notoriously low NPS scores, making it totally ripe for disruption.
Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to solve this massive problem. We are on a rocketship trajectory, creating intelligent agents that automate and augment the most complex risk and compliance workflows. We have found exceptional product-market fit and are scaling our team very quickly. Some reasons to join Zania are:

As a Product Designer for GRC AI Agents, you will be at the forefront of a revolution in security compliance. Your mission is to design a new class of intelligent AI agents that will replace legacy GRC tools like Archer, ServiceNow GRC, and OneTrust. We are not just improving existing workflows; we are fundamentally reimagining how compliance and risk management are done in an AI-native world. You will own the design vision and user experience, working directly with Fortune 500 customers, our engineering team, and the founder to craft solutions that are orders of magnitude more intuitive, powerful, and elegant than what exists today.
This role is based in our Palo Alto, CA office. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance.
Design AI-Native Experiences: Own the end-to-end user experience for our GRC AI agents. You will be responsible for crafting how users interact with, trust, and derive value from complex agentic workflows, turning powerful AI into simple and intuitive product experiences.
Create and Prototype Solutions: Translate complex product requirements and deep user insights into elegant solutions. Deliver everything from user flows and wireframes to interactive prototypes and high-fidelity visual designs that communicate the user journey.
Lead through Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management to define user problems and with Engineering to ensure faithful implementation of your designs, advocating for the user at every step.
Champion the User: Conduct generative user research, usability testing, and synthesis to deeply understand the needs and mental models of security professionals. Be the voice of the user in every product conversation.
Design the complete user interface and interaction model for our "SOC 2 Agent," creating an experience that makes a complex, year-long audit process feel simple, transparent, and continuous.
Lead generative user research with 15 CISOs and Chief Risk Officers, creating user personas and journey maps that define the core user problems and opportunities for our "Risk Management Agent."
Prototype an end-to-end agentic workflow for third-party risk management, testing and iterating on novel UI concepts that make a traditionally manual process feel automated and intelligent.
Establish the foundations of our design system, creating a library of components and patterns that will ensure a cohesive and high-quality user experience as we scale.
Product Design Experience: 8+ years of product design experience (UX/UI) creating complex, data-rich applications for B2B SaaS.
Domain Expertise: A strong interest in the security, risk, and compliance domain. A curiosity for understanding complex user workflows (e.g., in GRC, SOC 2, ISO 27001) is a significant plus.
AI Passion and Vision: A genuine passion for AI and a desire to design new interaction patterns that are purpose-built for an AI-native world. You are excited to solve novel UX challenges related to trust, transparency, and collaboration with AI agents.
Exceptional Communication: World-class visual and written communication skills, with the ability to present and defend your design decisions to customers, engineers, and senior leadership.
Founder's Mentality: You are a proactive, "get-it-done" designer who is comfortable with ambiguity, thinks strategically, and thrives in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 environment.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity may be part of the total compensation package.
