Responsibilities
- Own and lead mechanical designs for drone products from concept to production
- Gather requirements and perform trade studies for optimal mechanical solutions
- Conduct structural analysis to assess and improve designs
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
- Build prototypes and execute hardware test plans with iterative improvements
- Investigate root causes of hardware failures in development and production
- Balance subsystem needs to optimize development speed, mass, manufacturability, and cost
- Support hardware demonstrations for customers
- Travel to test sites and vendors as required
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
