Lead Manufacturing Test Engineer
Skills
- Strong proficiency in hardware testing and automated test systems (e.g., LabVIEW, Test Stand).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, and SHELL scripting.
- Familiarity with hardware communication protocols including USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN.
- Proven leadership skills managing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Experience developing and executing system-level test plans.
- Skill in prototyping and running experimental hardware and software tests.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing test engineers across multiple product lines.
- Manage scheduling, prioritization, and status reporting for the test engineering team.
- Develop and implement scalable automated test processes from component to system level.
- Execute comprehensive test plans to validate hardware reliability and key performance metrics.
- Perform data-driven hardware/software debugging using structured problem solving methods.
- Design semi-automated testing equipment and protocols for subsystem characterization.
- Collaborate with design and systems teams for risk assessment and test deployment during product development.
- Provide escalation management and risk mitigation for test-related blockers.
- Oversee manufacturing test projects ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery meeting reliability standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
