Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist

Asset Living is a trusted third-party management firm specializing in multifamily and affordable housing communities nationwide. They seek an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance for affordable housing applications, contributing to the integrity and success of their properties.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficient computer literacy including RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Ensure timely review of files within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Adhere to company policies and compliance procedures.
  • Monitor and implement changes in LIHTC regulations and requirements.
  • Attend required trainings including TDHCA and HCCP within the first two years.
  • Participate in tax credit reviews conducted by outside entities.
  • Travel approximately 50% annually for property visits, training, and conferences.

Education

  • HCCP certification preferred or willing to obtain within two years.
  • Knowledge or experience with HUD programs is a plus.
