Casting: Acting Technique, Scene Study, & On-Camera Classes with Anne Carol – NYC & Hudson Valley

This class is designed to help actors build a rock-solid foundation in their craft—one that will serve them for a lifetime. Through dynamic exercises, creative “home play,” and in-class presentations, students will explore the master teachings of Meisner, Stanislavski (Method), and Uta Hagen in a supportive, inspiring environment. Actors leave each session with deeper confidence and a versatile toolbox of techniques to guide them on their unique artistic path. I teach because I absolutely love the art of acting. I'm passionate about helping actors connect to their work in a more honest, vulnerable, and empowered way. What sets my coaching apart is my ability to assess, direct, and encourage each actor to press forward toward more truthful, compelling performances—while cultivating a confidence that carries into every audition, rehearsal, and role. Weekly Classes Offered: Acting Technique This foundational class offers essential tools for truthful, creative work. Students explore the master greats through exercises, and presentation. The environment is deeply supportive, allowing actors to take risks and grow. Coaching is tailored to each student’s unique potential. Transitions (Applied Technique) The bridge between foundational work and full scene performance. You’ll learn to break down scenes, analyze characters, and translate internal work into authentic, moment-to-moment storytelling. Technique becomes truth in action. Scene Study Dive into text, character relationships, and emotional preparation. This class focuses on risk-taking, clear choices, and relaxed vulnerability. Walk away with sharper instincts and stronger confidence as a storyteller. On-Camera Performance Sharpen audition skills and develop your on-camera presence through commercial work and short scenes. This class builds performance technique and camera confidence in a fun, professional setting. About Anne Carol Anne Carol is a seasoned performer, coach, and teacher with over 20 years in the industry. She has coached actors on major shows and films including Ozark, Daredevil, Locke and Key, Odd Mom Out, and The Ticket. As a performer, Anne starred in the Broadway National Tour of Pippin, the pre-Broadway run of Arthur, and the National Tour of A Chorus Line. She also graced the stage as one of the world-famous Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Anne’s passion for truthful storytelling led her to coaching, where she combines deep industry insight with an eye for transformation. She is dedicated to helping actors unlock authenticity and confidence—on stage, on camera, and in life.
