The Opportunity:

That is why we need you, an experienced Administrative and Business Specialist who can analyze every aspect of your customers’ operations and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll serve the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping to support the execution of advanced government-funded research and development (R&D) programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. You’ll leverage your expertise to provide strategic assessments of new developments in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. You’ll maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies. 

You'll serve as an Administrative and Business Specialist supporting clients with a range of administrative and business matters. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the agency, and being readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Track office-level assignments as requested by the Division Director.
  • Identify blockers proactively and work with office leadership to develop strategies to minimize or mitigate those blockers.
  • Work with office leadership on strategy for accomplishing office goals.
  • Assist with documents and briefing materials.
  • Track important milestones or actions.
  • Prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential business, organizational, and client implications.
  • Interact with clients, government officials, and other executives in various sectors.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with the public and display a customer orientation
  • Ability to identify and manage client expectations, develop clear objectives and deadlines, and communicate tasks on behalf of agency leadership
  • Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with U.S. government health organizations
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively
  • Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent organizational and time management skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
