- Strong technical drawing, modeling, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with building and site construction methods and materials
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Apply DLR Group practice standards and BIM modeling protocols to projects
- Develop technically sound lighting design concepts aligned with project goals and codes
- Collaborate with Project Managers to follow project workplans and schedules
- Produce accurate, standards-compliant lighting plans, details, and control systems documentation
- Communicate project progress and technical feedback effectively to team members
- Coordinate lighting design with electrical engineering and other disciplines
- Analyze building codes, site conditions, and design concepts to inform lighting strategies
- Utilize Revit, lighting design software, and spreadsheets for project deliverables
- Conduct quality assurance to maintain design intent throughout documentation
- Participate in team meetings, knowledge sharing, and design reviews
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience
