Financial Services Specialist I
Overview
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Approves requisitions, IDT’s, and travel vouchers. Reviews and overrides budget holds when appropriate
Responsibilities
- AAMC Faculty Salary Survey each year- sort and verify salary data for all full time Faculty for input to the AAMC data base. Includes base salary, supplement, incentives, and one-time payments. Enter the AAMC code for each Faculties' department, position, qualifications, and gender codes
- Process Interdivisional Charge Forms for correct codes and budget availability.
- Update tracking sheets for all entries submitted for processing
- Review and approve requisitions in Procure+ for requisitions over $5,000 and/or requisitions that require additional approvals based on object code
- Send Department Reserve reports (ledger 5/6) to each department administrator each month
- Maintain and update the Papercut billing/accounting system for the building copiers to ensure each department is billed correctly and generate copier billing monthly
- Review monthly billings for accuracy – Occ Health, telecom, ODURF reimbursements
- Monitor office supplies and order as needed
- Enter POs yearly for OBM office requirements and make purchases using PCard
- Office mail pick up and distribution daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred; but not required
Candidate must have prior experience in accounting or a financial capacity
