Responsibilities
- Manage prior authorization requests and monitor their status
- Communicate with patients to obtain insurance information
- Answer phones and receive referral and intake information
- Complete referral and intake forms and route for admission approval
- Assist in scheduling the appropriate clinician for each case
- Verify Medicare coverage and benefit periods
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers across departments
- Perform other remote assigned tasks and duties
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent is typically required
