THE ROLE:
FloSports is looking to bring on a Content Creator for FloHockey who is dedicated to our mission of providing hockey fans the experience they deserve. The ideal candidate lives and breathes hockey, specifically in the junior, college and professional ranks leading into the NHL, has professional or extensive personal content creation experience, and is able to bring their innovative and impactful story ideas to life through written and video content with a heavy emphasis on social media.
Candidates must be passionate about having influence within the hockey community, have a nose for compelling storylines, and understand how to grow your voice as an authority in these communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create impactful and high-quality social media and web content, both written and video, from the idea phase to publishing.
Create compelling and platform-specific content that resonates with the target audience and maximizes engagement.
Spotlight the top athletes and personalities in your sport with interesting stories.
Travel around the world on amazing coverage of live events. You'll interview coaches and athletes, create engaging social media content and feature the biggest stories of each event.
Work with the team in content creation meetings, brainstorming to come up with strategies that grow and engage the community.
Keep a pulse on the fans and key figures in the sport in order to constantly improve by eliciting and listening to feedback from your audience.
Handle multiple content projects at once because you're a multi-tasking machine that can be relied on.
Be a news hound by staying on top of every story and news item unfolding in hockey beneath the NHL to ensure you provide comprehensive coverage to your readers.
Be a social media influencer and help find other big social media entities who can help promote your content.
