VP of Growth Marketing, Acquisition

Freebird is a 9-figure, founder-led DTC brand revolutionizing grooming and self-care. We started with a hero product—the FlexSeries™ electric head shaver—and built a loyal following of over 1 million customers.

Today, we’re scaling fast across product lines, channels (DTC, Amazon, retail, subscription), and regions (U.S. and international). Our engine is fueled by performance marketing, creative volume, product obsession, and a relentless test-and-learn culture.

Now, we’re looking for a world-class VP of Growth to lead our next phase of customer acquisition and help shape the future of the brand.

The Role

As VP of Growth (Acquisition), you’ll own the customer acquisition engine—driving strategy and execution across Paid Media, Performance Creative, Influencer, Affiliate, and emerging growth channels.

This role is initially 100% focused on acquisition. You’ll work directly with the COO and executive team to double monthly new customer acquisition while improving CAC efficiency and contribution margin.

You’ll build the team, architect the systems, and run the playbook that powers our next $100M in growth.

What You’ll Own

🧭 Growth Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the acquisition P&L—including CAC, contribution margin, and new customer growth.
  • Set acquisition goals, forecasts, and budgets in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team across Paid Media, Creative Strategy, and Influencer/Affiliate.
  • Drive a culture of speed, ownership, and experimentation rooted in data and accountability.

📈 Channel Ownership & Expansion

  • Lead all performance marketing channels (Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, AppLovin).
  • Expand into new acquisition channels (Affiliate, Influencer, CTV, Podcasts, TikTok Shop, Reddit).
  • Grow TOF and remarketing pool through strong campaign architecture and diversification.
  • Partner with agencies and internal teams on CTV, podcast, and other experimental channels.
  • Implement MMM, incrementality testing, and forecasting models to scale spend intelligently.

🎨 Performance Creative Strategy

  • Partner with our in-house creative team to generate 300+ assets/month across formats, hooks, and personas.
  • Test and scale beyond UGC—VSLs, product demos, comparison ads, storytelling, etc.
  • Build feedback loops between media, creative, and analytics to improve performance and velocity.
  • Use customer research, Reddit, reviews, and trends to guide creative briefs and messaging strategy.

🧪 Funnel Optimization & CRO

  • Guide strategy for offers, bundles, landing pages, quizzes, and pricing experimentation.
  • Partner with our CRO and Ecommerce teams to increase CVR, AOV, and first-order profitability.
  • Leverage creative and funnel segmentation to maximize performance by audience and product.

🤝 Influencer, Affiliate & Community Growth

  • Build Freebird’s affiliate and creator program from 0 to 500+ aligned partners.
  • Drive Spark Ads and repurposed influencer content for direct response impact.
  • Build and lead TikTok Shop growth team across creative, content velocity, and operations.
  • Seed organic content and engagement in Reddit, Discord, Quora, and niche communities.

📊 Analytics & Reporting

  • Own reporting, dashboards, and insights using tools like Northbeam, GA4, Amplitude, and Shopify.
  • Lead experimentation frameworks and cohort modeling to assess CAC, LTV, and margin impact.
  • Define KPIs, track attribution, and inform media mix decisions with real-time feedback loops.

What We're Looking For

🔑 Experience & Capability

  • 7–10+ years in growth, performance marketing, or acquisition roles at DTC or consumer brands.
  • Proven ownership of $3–5M+/mo paid media budgets across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling new acquisition channels like Affiliate, Influencer, TV/CTV, Podcasts, or TikTok Shop.
  • Experience building and managing high-volume creative pipelines (300+ assets/mo).
  • Strong track record optimizing funnels, landing pages, offers, and pricing for margin and scale.
  • Bonus: Experience in grooming/personal care, or subscription DTC with $50+ AOV.
  • Bonus: Experience with international markets and localization strategies.

🧠 Strategic & Analytical Mindset

  • Fluent in MMM, incrementality testing, CAC:LTV modeling, and forecasting frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of attribution and channel-specific measurement strategies.
  • Hands-on with Northbeam, Amplitude, GA4, or similar tools.

  • Strong cross-functional partner to Creative, Product, Ops, and Ecommerce leaders.
