Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Oversee the case management and peer support team, ensuring adherence to program protocols, contract deliverables, and compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Collaboration: Serve as a key contact point for program-related matters.
  • Clinical Excellence: Partner with the Medical and Behavioral Health Leadership team to implement healthcare procedures and practices in line with Janus medical protocols.  (Tuesday to Saturday shifts)
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure staff performance meets quality care standards, providing leadership through effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resource Management: Manage the inventory of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring proper operation and availability for clients.
  • Community Engagement: Develop relationships with community organizations and government entities to enhance program success.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall success and improvement of the program.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of new SUD treatment programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of the community and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews of program activities to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in SUD treatment.
  • Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the program and in interactions with external agencies and partners.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection and analysis of program data to monitor outcomes and inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff during crises.

Pay & Benefits


At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $23.00 to $26.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.

You’ll also receive access to benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 12 paid holidays, retirement benefits, no cost mental health counseling services, and 12 paid sick days per year!

Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Certification: CADC I, SUDRC I, or higher SUD Counselor Certification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum two years of employment in a substance use disorder integrated healthcare setting.
    • Minimum one year of supervisory experience with SUD counselors, peer support, and medical support staff roles.
    • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Managed Care Plan - Central California Alliance for Health CalAIM, and integrated medical and behavioral health models in treating substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and CFR42 confidentiality restrictions.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
  • Bilingual - Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using internal and external informational technology systems, including EHRs (Electronic Health Records), SCHIO (Santa Cruz Health Information Organization), MS Office products, insurance portals, and others, with prompt documentation within the systems.
  • Proficiency in any of the following platforms is preferred: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple iWork, or LibreOffice.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based and standalone office suite applications.
  • Strong understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to office suites.

Other Requirements:

  • Travel may be required.
