This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the development of large-scale distributed systems that power real-time data integration and AI infrastructure. In this role, you’ll manage a team of senior engineers building execution engines and stream processing systems that operate with sub-second latency and enterprise-grade reliability. You’ll shape technical strategy, implement best-in-class DevOps practices, and drive velocity without compromising quality. Accountabilities:

• Lead the engineering team responsible for building distributed runtime systems that process billions of data events daily.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to architect fault-tolerant, scalable stream processing systems using technologies like Kafka, Ray, and custom execution engines.
• Define technical standards and drive decisions related to real-time pipelines, cloud scalability, and performance optimization.
• Mentor a team of 8–12 Senior and Principal Engineers, overseeing hiring, development plans, and performance reviews.
• Build a high-velocity engineering culture by implementing agile processes, CI/CD pipelines, and robust monitoring practices.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, AI, DevOps, and Customer Engineering to align engineering outcomes with business goals.
• Oversee system health, capacity planning, cost control, and ensure uptime exceeds enterprise SLAs.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain operational excellence.

• 5+ years managing high-performing engineering teams in distributed systems or data infrastructure environments.
• Experience leading Senior and Principal Engineers with a proven ability to scale teams and systems in high-growth tech companies.
• Deep technical background with 5+ years in hands-on distributed systems, stream processing, or large-scale data platforms.
• Expertise in the Apache Kafka ecosystem, real-time event streaming, and distributed computing tools like Ray, Spark, or Flink.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and modern DevOps toolchains.
• Solid grasp of system architecture concepts such as fault tolerance, replication, consensus, and consistency models.
• Experience deploying mission-critical systems at scale with high throughput, low latency, and 99.9%+ uptime.
• Bonus: Familiarity with enterprise SaaS, AI/ML infrastructure, performance engineering, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
