Team Lead, Premium Audit (Remote - US)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Pie Insurance. We are currently looking for a Team Lead, Premium Audit in the United States.

Join a fast-growing, tech-forward insurance team dedicated to making coverage simpler and more accessible for small businesses. In this leadership role, you’ll guide and support a high-performing audit team, oversee quality standards, and collaborate across departments to optimize internal processes. You'll shape strategy, enhance team capabilities, and be a key player in delivering a seamless customer experience. This is a remote or hybrid position for U.S.-based professionals looking to grow in a people-first, innovative environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and coach the Premium Audit team by managing day-to-day operations, supporting problem resolution, and driving performance.
  • Ensure high-quality service and compliance with internal standards and audit regulations.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, calibration sessions, and performance reviews to build team member skills.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Premium Audit and other departments to support cross-functional projects and improve workflows.
  • Address customer escalations, review KPI reports, and provide timely feedback to improve team processes and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and SOPs to strengthen onboarding and continuous learning.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centric innovation.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in premium audit and 4 years in commercial insurance.
  • At least 1 year in a formal or informal leadership role with proven team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of state/bureau premium audit regulations and experience communicating them clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work and spot inconsistencies in others’ work.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, remote-first environments.
  • Proficient with tools such as G Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Looker, and Insurity (preferred).
  • Competitive base salary: $75,000–$95,000 USD
