Skills
- Proficiency in SIGINT, cryptologic language processing and gisting.
- Competency in translating, transcribing, and analyzing complex foreign language content.
- Ability to work with audio and graphic language materials at required ILR skill levels.
- Experience with reporting and quality control in language analysis.
- Security clearance and U.S. citizenship compliance.
Responsibilities
- Scan, translate, transcribe, and analyze foreign language materials.
- Draft and review reports with quality assurance.
- Read and interpret text in native and transliterated scripts.
- Assign disposition codes per established guidelines.
- Transcribe spoken language and translate graphic materials into American English.
- Create database entries for government language dictionaries and profiles.
- Document information from intercepts and collaborate on collection input.
- Perform preliminary quality review of translated and gisted materials.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED for Level 1 with specific experience requirements.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience for Level 2.
- Bachelor’s degree or additional work experience for Levels 3 and 4.
