Khan Academy is seeking a Districts Proposal Manager for a 3-month contract to oversee the development of high-quality proposals for K-12 partnerships. The role requires collaboration across various departments and exceptional writing and editing skills.
Responsibilities: Manage the proposal lifecycle for K-12 district and state-level opportunities, oversee the quality of proposals, and ensure compliance with solicitation instructions.
Skills: Strong writing and editing skills, proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office, project management capabilities, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in managing proposal lifecycle, particularly in the K-12 education sector, and strong cross-cultural competency.
Location: Remote-friendly (US + Canada Only) with a preference for candidates based in Mountain View, CA.
Compensation: $46 - $46 / Hourly

THE ROLE
The Khan Academy Districts Proposal Manager is responsible for leading, planning, scheduling, and overseeing the timely development and delivery of high-quality responses to K-12 school, district, and state-level partnerships opportunities from pre-RFP to post-submission activities, in a fast-paced environment. This role will collaborate across sales, marketing, legal, finance, operations, product, and engineering to support our sales processes, drive revenue, win new customers, and grow existing customer accounts.
We are looking for someone with a creative vision, follow-through, and a desire to work for an organization where your contributions make an immediate impact. The ideal candidate understands accountability and is looking for a team that relies on complete transparency. Exceptional grammar, proofreading, and editing skills are a necessity. Strong internet/AI research skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and project coordination experience are keys to success in this role. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
The Districts Proposal Manager is a subject-matter expert for Khan Academy, our Khan Academy Districts partnerships, and Khanmigo, our AI-based student tutor and teaching assistant.
