Accounting Manager
Skills
- Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with MRI, Yardi, or FAS asset software
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
- Accurately report financial records including budgets and forecasts for assigned properties
- Collaborate with property managers to maintain consistency and effectiveness in operations reporting
- Implement company-wide accounting and reporting initiatives for property management
- Prepare monthly financial reports for institutional owners and asset managers
- Manage debt covenant reporting deadlines and deliver timely reports
- Prepare and review monthly accruals and rent journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and maintain fixed asset listings
- Record tax basis entries and prepare tax and audit work papers
- Monitor delinquency reports and address severe delinquencies with property management
- Understand lease terminology and coordinate with Lease Administrators
- Ensure timely payments and prepare funding reports
- Support budget preparation and review for accuracy
- Prepare bank reconciliations and track tenant upfit allowances
- Analyze financial data from multiple sources to provide accurate information for owners
- Prepare personal property tax listings and monitor sales/use tax compliance
- Work 40-45 hours per week, mainly aligned with reporting cycles
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Controller
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA license required
