Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A Media Group, this role supports Financial Planning and Analysis function for all of Media Group. The role provides the unique opportunity to become immersed in the portfolio’s multiple business models, with the ability to gain an in-depth view and understanding of the full portfolio P&L. The Manager, FP&A Media Group will be part of the team responsible for all budget, planning and estimate cycles and all related portfolio financial analysis. The role works closely with all key members of Media Group FP&A including the Senior Vice President, FP&A Media Group, the Media Finance teams (Peacock, Sports, Entertainment, Sales & Distribution, Operating & Programming) as well as Corporate FP&A. The role is a key part of the preparation of all portfolio financials.

Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting, forecasting & analysis across the Media Group portfolio
• Design, build & maintain dynamic reporting to align with leadership strategies
• Consolidate, analyze & report financial & operational insights (Variances, Drivers, KPIs)
• Leverage portfolio trends and data to provide key insights to senior management
• Assist in preparation of operating review pitches and portfolio financials
• Foster collaborative environment & seek to streamline processes across Media Group
• Provide ad hoc FP&A support across Media Group & Peacock FP&A teams

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 4+ years of experience with demonstrated progression
• Finance & accounting skills with ability to navigate financial planning systems
• Solid communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and attention to detail
• Preferred: previous experience in a media company/ and or streaming service

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
