Job Description

The ASUN Center for Student Engagement (CSE) Accounting Office manages all financial and administrative services for ASUN and over 300 Clubs and Organizations. Our responsibilities include processing payments, deposits, donations, payroll, contracts and agreements, university credit cards, and copy machine codes. Our team is known for being detail-oriented, reliable, and trustworthy, with a strong commitment to customer service. We take pride in supporting students, staff, and others by answering questions and resolving issues promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Process all financial accounting DocuSign requests for Pack Life, including credit card transactions, Amazon orders, purchase orders, travel request forms, and reimbursements.

  • Manage the daily check-in and check-out of ASUN purchasing cards for ASUN Clubs & Orgs, Officers, CSE student employees, and professional staff.

  • Carefully review all receipts after purchases, organize them accordingly, and upload each receipt to the office inbox for future P-Card reconciliation.

  • Provide account services for ASUN Clubs & Orgs, including setting up ASUN Club Support Funding and Club Program/Bank accounts, generating detailed account reports, and more.

  • Assist the Accounting Office’s professional staff in reconciling basic P-Card transactions within the university’s financial system, Workday.

  • Assist the Accounting Office’s professional staff with Journal Vouchers, Supplier Invoice Requests, Purchase Orders requisitions, and Accounting Adjustments.

  • Maintain necessary communication with the university’s Accounts Payable Office, Controller’s Office, Foundation Office, Purchasing Office, and Cashier’s Office.

  • Foster strong internal and external relationships by providing exceptional customer service in a professional and approachable manner to ensure needs are met, questions are answered, and issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be in good standing as an undergraduate student with the University of Nevada, Reno.

  • Must have and maintain a minimum of 2.75 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester at the University of Nevada, Reno.

  • Must be available to work within the following hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, and/or Saturday, 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

  • Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week.

  • Must attend the mandatory meeting that takes place every week during the school year.

  • Must be reliable and show up to work on time, able to work within deadlines, and work independently in a highly dynamic environment.

The selected candidate for this position is expected to begin their appointment in the Fall semester of 2025.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate with experience working in Excel

  • Candidate with experience working in an accounting setting.

  • Candidate with Workday experience.

  • Candidate has interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
