Park Place of Elmhurst, a nonprofit five-star CCRC living community, is located across from Endeavor Health Elmhurst Hospital. Our 16-acre arboretum-designated campus offers 180+ customizable 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom independent living apartments and a full continuum of care, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and memory support. We are seeking a full-time Director of Marketing and Sales to support carrying out our mission to deliver quality care to our residents!

Description

This position is responsible for developing marketing, sales, relationships and public relations programs and systems to support a positive community image, meet sales and occupancy requirements and ensure a smooth and enjoyable moving process for future residents. This position provides prospective residents and/or responsible parties with appropriate information and assistance in choosing a CCRC Community.  Additionally, this position serves as an ambassador for the organization to build and sustain strategic relationships with relevant constituents. 


Summary of essential job functions
The Director of Marketing and Sales will be responsible for leading the marketing team and serve as a member of PPE’s leadership team. This position is responsible for generating inquiries, handling prospects, conducting tours, entering, and utilizing data entered the lead management system and all other activities necessary to achieve budgeted census goals.

  • Collaborate with the corporate office and third-party marketing strategy partners to develop and execute marketing and public relations plans for the entire continuing care   retirement community (CCRC) to achieve optimal 
  • Must be able to quickly establish rapport and complete a thorough discovery to address prospect needs.
  • Conduct tours of the community and understand the capabilities, levels of care and unique aspects of the community/brand. 
  • Keep up to date on competition including strengths and weaknesses. Identify ways to overcome objections.
  • Lead the Marketing team in sales results and report on the results to stakeholders
  • Develop and manage policies, practices and procedures to achieve results
  • Stay up to date with current marketing tools, technology, and best practices
  • Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the long-term care industry
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance appraisals
  • Conduct personal follow-up with prospects and/or responsible parties.
  • Follow the prescribed sales processes, including the admissions process for complete and accurate paperwork submission.
  • Practices prudent fiscal management and closely monitors budget for marketing purposes.
  • Actively schedule, manage and participate in community outreach to build brand awareness, foster partnerships, and leverage relationships for census growth.
  • Support creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of five years of successful sales experience in senior living, preferably with Lifecare sales
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies, sales techniques, education, and community outreach specific to senior living Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a CRM
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player with a passion for working with older adults 
  • Ability to show empathy and possess excellent listening skills
  • Experience leading and motivating a sales team is a plus
