Description

Location: Oswego, NY (Hybrid/On-site)

Schedule: 25 hours/week (flexible)

Summary/Objectives:

As our Part-Time Recruiter, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience from day one. You’ll partner with hiring leaders, support recruitment efforts across departments, and provide onboarding support, all while helping build a welcoming, values-driven workplace. The Part-Time Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates for various positions across the organization.


Essential Functions:

  • Support Hiring Leaders: Guide managers through the hiring process, offering tools, templates, and assistance.
  • Recruit & Source Talent: Post openings, source applicants, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews.
  • Deliver a Great Candidate Experience: Be the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a timely, friendly, and professional process.
  • Collaborate on Job Descriptions & Ads: Help create clear, engaging postings that reflect our culture and needs.
  • Track Progress: Monitor key metrics and share updates on hiring activity and trends.
  • Support Onboarding: Facilitate orientations, ensure timely completion of paperwork, and contribute to a strong first impression.
  • Jump in Where Needed: Assist with general HR tasks and support broader department initiatives when time allows.

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (preferred)
  • 1–2 years of recruiting or HR experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR software (Paylocity experience a plus)
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of employment laws and hiring best practices (a plus)
