Asset & Infrastructure Manager

About Pave Power:

Pave is at the center of the vehicle electrification megatrend. We partner with commercial vehicle fleets to site, design, build, and manage the infrastructure needed to transform and scale their electric vehicle (EV) and autonomous vehicle (AV) operations. We deliver turnkey energy and infrastructure solutions that help fleets reduce timelines, cut costs, and lower emissions through innovative designs and industry-leading execution.

We are a high-performance, high-humility team. We build with urgency, operate with integrity, and take pride in serving as a trusted partner to some of the largest and most innovative fleet and mobility companies in the world.

About The Role:

The Asset & Infrastructure Manager will play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of Pave’s turnkey electric vehicle (EV) solutions for commercial fleets. In this role, you will oversee Pave’s fleet of EV charging infrastructure and operational sites, while also contributing to the product innovations and process improvements that will drive our growth.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technical problem solver — someone who not only ensures assets perform at their best but also helps build the systems and standards that enable scalable, durable deployments. You’ll work closely with the Project Execution team to support the deployment, performance, and optimization of EV fleets — ensuring seamless integration of vehicles, charging infrastructure, distributed energy resources, and telematics.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with excellent customer-facing skills and thrives in a dynamic, growth-stage environment. This is a remote or hybrid role, with regular travel to customer sites and to the greater NYC area. Preference will be given to candidates based in or near NYC.

Responsibilities:

Technical Diagnostics and Resolution:

  • Support EV fleet deployment, ensuring seamless integration of vehicles, chargers and software.

  • Support DER deployment, ensuring seamless integration of assets with site conditions and ongoing operations.

  • Conduct testing and optimization of charging infrastructure and DERs to ensure data reliability and system performance.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to EV performance, charging equipment and telematics systems.

  • Provide direct support for technical escalations, including on-site troubleshooting when necessary.

Fleet & Infrastructure Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor fleet and infrastructure performance through telematics and analytics, identifying opportunities to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.

  • Lead cross-functional operations and maintenance teams — software providers, hardware engineers and technicians, and skilled electricians.

  • Analyze and report on key performance metrics to internal stakeholders and customers including energy consumption, environmental impacts, cost drivers, and vendor performance.

  • Proactively address operational inefficiencies and recommend technical and process enhancements.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including maintenance providers, telematics partners, charger OEMs, and other hardware suppliers.

  • When necessary, act as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and external vendors to align on expectations, updates and deliverables.

  • Ensure all technical solutions meet customer needs and align with Pave’s operational standards.

Team & Business Building:

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to continuously improve Pave’s offerings.

  • Report customer feedback to internal teams to inform product development and operational enhancements.

  • Support the Project Execution team with strategic initiatives and scaling efforts.

  • Help develop and reinforce Pave’s culture of excellence, trust, and transparency.

  • Contribute to our hiring, onboarding, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.

  • Jump in on high-priority efforts, supporting company-wide momentum and progress.

About You:

Personal Qualities:

  • Proactive: You create clarity where it’s missing – and you take initiative without needing direction. You’re resourceful, self-starting, and energized by solving problems.

  • Analytical & Curious: You break down complexity, ask smart questions, pick up new concepts quickly, and continuously seek to improve your understanding. You do the work.

  • Execution-Oriented: You own outcomes and don’t let things slip. You’re organized, persistent, know the details, and deliver results.

  • Relational & Direct: You build trust quickly and communicate clearly. You directly give and seek out feedback, and you aren’t afraid to ask clarifying questions.

  • Humble: You understand that ego gets in the way of smart decision-making and can undermine credibility. You never feign confidence in an under-researched position and are careful not to lose the trust of partners who rely on us for insight, expertise, and honesty.

  • Team-First: You bring out the best in those around you. You share credit, take ownership, and help reinforce a culture of integrity, accountability, and support.

  • Passionate: You’re energized by the opportunity in front of us and want to help build something truly great – alongside a team that shares your ambition, values, and work ethic.

Experience & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of O&M and asset management experience in energy, construction, or infrastructure projects.

  • Experience in managing energy monitoring, controls, and communication systems for EV charging, solar PV, battery storage, or distributed energy systems.

  • Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Gantt charts, Excel/Sheets) and familiarity with technical drawings.

  • Expertise in setting up and managing complex diagnostics for power electronics systems and troubleshooting system faults.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with customers and partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and educate non-technical users on complex systems.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Genuine passion for electrifying transportation and expanding clean energy adoption.

  • Ability to travel by car or plane 1+ week per month.

Nice To Haves:

  • Familiarity with EV-specific data analytics tools and methodologies for fleet performance monitoring.

  • Electrical contracting experience or licensure (e.g., C-10).

Why Join Pave Power?

You’ll have the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping a category-defining company at the forefront of fleet electrification and the autonomous-vehicle revolution. You’ll also join a tight-knit, high-performing team that values integrity, excellence, and having fun while doing hard things.

We offer competitive compensation, full benefits, and early-stage equity with significant upside potential — but more importantly, we offer trust, empowerment, and the opportunity to leave an outsized mark on an industry undergoing historic change.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
