About the position
The IT Business Partner (ITBP) acts as the strategic interface between the Propelled Brands IT department and an assigned franchise brand (e.g., FASTSIGNS, MY SALON Suite, Camp Bow Wow and Propelled Brands Shared Services). The primary purpose of this role is to build a strong, collaborative partnership with brand leadership, understand their strategic goals, and translate those business needs into well-defined technology demand.

The Ideal Candidate
This individual will serve as the primary IT conduit for the brand, ensuring seamless communication and providing transparency into IT project status and service performance. The ITBP is crucial for ensuring that IT initiatives are strategically aligned, deliver maximum value, and directly support our core mission to "propel brands forward".

Essential Functions
  • Strategic Demand & Requirements Management:
    • Partner with brand leadership to understand their unique business strategies, operational challenges, and growth opportunities.
    • Lead the IT demand intake process for the assigned brand, utilizing detailed project proposal forms for strategic initiatives and a simplified process for minor requests.
    • Accurately capture and document business requirements with sufficient detail to enable IT teams to begin solutioning and estimation.
    • Liaise between brand stakeholders and technical teams (Engineering, BI, Back Office Systems) to clarify requirements and facilitate collaboration.
  • Relationship & Communication Management:
    • Serve as the primary IT point of contact and trusted advisor for the assigned brand's leadership and operational teams.
    • Establish and maintain a regular communication cadence with brand stakeholders, providing clear, high-level updates on the status of their active project portfolio.
    • Analyze and present regular reports on IT service performance, including key Service Desk metrics (ticket volume, types, and trends) to provide the brand with actionable insights.
  • Service & Project Oversight:
    • Manage the lifecycle of simple brand requests from intake through to completion, ensuring business needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
    • Collaborate with the Office of the CIO and engineering leads to ensure the right work is being prioritized and executed to support the brand's objectives.
    • Function as a key stakeholder in project oversight, helping to monitor project performance and ensure IT investments deliver their intended business value.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other IT Business Partners to share best practices, identify cross-brand opportunities, and provide backup coverage to ensure continuous support for all brands.

What We Need
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in an IT Business Analyst, Business Relationship Manager, or similar role, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams.
    • Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements for technology projects.
    • Experience in a multi-brand or franchise-based organization is highly preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, from operational staff to executive leadership.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align with strategic business goals.
    • Adept at translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) concepts and project management methodologies.
    • Experience with Salesforce, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar CRM and project management tools is a plus.
    • Must be considerate and respectful of others, assuming positive intent in all interactions.
