Technical Accounting Manager
Skills
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research accounting literature
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical accounting guidance both written and verbally
- Experience designing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
- Familiarity with business combinations and revenue recognition standards
Responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and maintain company accounting policies
- Analyze and apply technical accounting guidance from FASB, SEC, and Big 4 interpretive sources
- Document technical accounting positions in memo format
- Monitor and implement new accounting pronouncements
- Perform business combination accounting and coordinate with third-party valuation specialists
- Apply revenue recognition guidance to new products, including principal vs. agent assessments
- Partner with Finance, Product, Legal, and Tax teams as a trusted advisor
- Liaise with external auditors to resolve technical accounting matters timely
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
