As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll work in the product model to lead a unified strategy, roadmap, and outcomes (OKRs) for your product. You’ll collaborate with engineering, data science, and design partners to deliver high-quality technology solutions that are resilient, scalable, and easy to use. Product teams at Target are outcome-driven and own a shared backlog of product, discovery, design, and technical work. This role sits within the platform engineering practice at the heart of TAP—the Target Application Platform. TAP provides a unified experience across public and private cloud to over 5,000 builders—from application developers to fellow service providers to data scientists—who work at a scope and scale that makes Target thrive.
You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and that the product team is receiving the direction and support required for success. You will actively develop your market understanding, maintain a clear product roadmap, and prioritize the backlog around customer themes—focusing on the highest-impact work for your team and stakeholders.
You will promote the open exchange of information and perspectives, inspiring others to achieve ambitious goals and high standards of performance while aligning to the organization's direction. You’ll foster a sense of urgency, navigate unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the enterprise to move critical work forward.

As a Senior Product Manager for Cloud Storage, you will:
Champion product management practices, helping an engineering organization grow in value alignment and outcome focus
Define and evolve OKRs that connect customer value, platform health, and measurable business outcomes
Expand and execute a durable product strategy with an emphasis on data mobility and stability across hybrid cloud storage architectures
Lead user discovery and validation to de-risk investment decisions before engineering work begins
Align stakeholders around a shared vision and delivery strategy to drive clarity and confidence
Prioritize reusable, self-service platform capabilities that scale value across internal customers
Inspire your team through crisp narratives, well-scoped problems, and visible progress signals
About You:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform product domains (e.g. APIs, internal developer platforms, developer-focused SaaS)
Fluent in GitHub workflows and contribution models; comfortable collaborating through PRs, issues, and documentation
Able to engage across the technical stack—from hardware enablement and infrastructure to developer and data science need
Effective partner to engineers, adept in architectural tradeoffs impact on product outcomes, and skilled at translating complexity into executive-friendly narratives
Experienced in agile product development, including OKR setting, iterative delivery, and user-centered discovery
Strong communicator and cross-functional leader who builds alignment through clear storytelling, actionable insights, and a sustained focus on outcomes
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
