VP, Ad Sales Marketing

The Weather Company, a leading global weather data and insights provider, is seeking a strategic and dynamic Vice President of Ad Sales Marketing to lead integrated marketing and advertising sales strategy. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth, partner with leadership, and innovate advertising solutions leveraging AI and data.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of media, advertising, and B2B marketing with leadership experience.
  • Expertise in partner marketing and familiarity with advertising ecosystems and agency landscapes.
  • Experience leveraging AI, analytics, and automation for marketing efficiency.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills for senior executive and client engagements.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.
  • Entrepreneurial and resourceful with strong strategic and operational abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and motivational leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer to define and execute marketing strategies aligned with revenue goals.
  • Develop and drive innovative campaign support and vertical-based sales strategies to generate revenue.
  • Create differentiated messaging and go-to-market strategies for AI-driven advertising solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Research teams to market innovations effectively.
  • Champion AI and automation to enhance campaign efficiency and targeting.
  • Develop strategic proposals and branded content aligned with client objectives.
  • Elevate case studies and success stories to demonstrate market leadership and campaign impact.
  • Build alignment across Sales, Product, Creative, and Brand teams to ensure execution consistency.
  • Lead partner marketing initiatives with industry platforms and clients to boost awareness and thought leadership.
  • Drive B2B brand presence through content marketing, PR, and executive visibility strategies.
  • Design reporting frameworks to track sales impact and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events as a thought leader.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales and marketing team fostering creativity and accountability.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
