Summary of Job Duties:

The Program Manager is responsible for the administration of the ongoing Law School LL.M. academic degree program and to support its grant funded projects. This position oversees the day-to-day management of the program. The Program Manager reports to the Program Director and implements the strategic vision for the Program developed by the Director and the Graduate Legal Studies Committee. The Program Manager serves as an important point of contact for prospective students, enrolled students, faculty, and staff. This position encompasses the following offices: recruiting and admissions, marketing & communications, student affairs, curriculum management and delivery, alumni relations, special projects, and development. The Program Manager is also responsible for assuring compliance with University policy and procedures.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive in person attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimums Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

• At least three years of related university, legal, or professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• JD degree or a master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education

• Experience in an academic setting

• Knowledge of agricultural and food law issues

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Proactive problem-solving skills, the ability to anticipate and effectively address issues

• Ability to use software such as Workday, word processing, spreadsheets, Canva, marketing and communication tools including social media

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across internal departments and external agencies
