Background & Purpose of the Job

North America is the second largest market of UFS globally, with annual sales exceeding half billion dollars.

The Senior Finance Manager for UFS NAM, is a key role within the organization, responsible for delivering 4G growth of UFS business across North America, leading the performance from the front while ensuring strong financial governance of spends and controls. The role plays a central role in driving profitable growth by managing $200Mn of spends across TTS, BMI & Overheads, making resource allocation choices and supporting decisions around new launches and investments. The candidate will be a core member of UFS NA finance leadership team and will help in driving in-year performance along with driving value creation initiatives and influencing to shape future agenda by leading annual business planning. The role offers an attractive balance between FP&A, partnering and controllership experience, and responsibilities include:

  • Enable, drive, and lead the creation and delivery of annual plan in line with target framework and partner in setting the long-term strategic direction of the business
  • Manage, lead, coach and develop a diverse team of 3 associates
  • Partner CD, marketing, and Supply chain team in driving monthly sales planning cycle (S&OP), and creation of annual operating plan (IBP) including identification of key strategic initiatives, target setting, and creation of OKRs
  • Oversee development of innovation business cases, and assess capital requirements along with supporting investment decisions
  • Leading the Savings agenda and transformational projects to reset cost base, and liaise with Foods SCF team for GM delivery
  • Oversee monthly-end close & reporting activities to ensure timely and quality reporting of UFS financial results
  • Lead performance updates to the FSLT and Global leadership team
  • In capacity of UFS Controller, maintain the integrity of the financial processes and ensure compliance to GFCF and locally managed controls, interfacing with NA Controllers team
  • Full ownership of UFS Balance sheet (TTS, BMI, OH)
  • Building new analytical capabilities which bring insights to the business to drive action and improve category and business performance.
  • Drive automation and further optimization of all FP&A and FET processes.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong understanding of P&L, Balance sheet, monthly forecasting and reporting activities
  • 7 years of relevant progressive finance experience. Experience in more than one of core finance areas (Brand, Supply Chain, Customer & Channel Development, Planning & Analysis, Controllers) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or related area. 
  • Owner’s mindset towards business challenges. Ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact-based solutions. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / processes simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, and organizational skills with strategic perspective and ability to influence and steer the decisions

Pay: The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
