The Lab Chemist Intern will work as part of the Technology team in Trevose, PA. The primary
goal is to execute on water treatment projects supporting our Boiler, Cooling, Wastewater or
Process Water applications. The intern will initially start off working with the synthesis chemists
and provide support for our microbiological labs. This would involve using custom designed
laboratory equipment to simulate operations ( e.g. a cooling tower, boiler, wastewater process, or
food processing application) to control corrosion, deposition, or liquid/solid separations.
Location: This role is based out of the Trevose, PA laboratory.
Essential Responsibilities:
● In consultation with a WTS Researcher, execute on a program to investigate a
specific customer or technology development challenge
● Conduct experiments to generate data
● Review data with WTS Researcher and design next step experiments
● Document and present results of the project at the completion of the internship
Qualifications/Requirements:
● Bachelors degrees in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,
Biochemistry or equivalent with 2-3 years of college chemistry lab experience
● Familiarity with basic wet chemistry and analytical techniques
● Ability to work independently in a lab environment with other team members
● Self-motivated and a team player.
● Demonstrated dedication to lab safety.
● Effective problem-solving skills.
● An accomplished communicator, able to produce quality technical reports and
documents.
