Special Events Assistant

Description

Assist with the coordination of all aspects of event planning, logistics, promotion, execution and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to event committees, donors, attendees and team members.

• Assist with office tasks as assigned (emails, phone calls, sponsor packets, mailings, etc.)

• Assist with the production of events including site visits, volunteer coordination and event-day logistics

• Assist with physical set-up and facilitation of events.

• Assist with data management for events including tracking RSVPs and budget and data entry into Raiser’s Edge software.

• Assist with event committee management including meeting reminders and minutes.

• Assist with relationship management of event vendors and serves as a liaison for event planning.

• Some evening and weekend work is required.


Requirements

• Strong working knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with using data management systems required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Must be able to work efficiently and independently.

• Must be highly organized and attentive to detail.

• Must be motivated, demonstrate a high level of professionalism, and be able to build rapport with staff, donors and volunteers.

• Reliable transportation is required.
