The Manager, National Youth Voice will manage the Big Brothers Big Sisters National Youth Leadership Council, overseeing engagement strategies and supporting youth development across the organization.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include overseeing the National Youth Council, managing recruitment and development of youth leaders, coordinating activities, and working cross-functionally to ensure youth voice is embedded in programs.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in youth development and project management.
Location: 100% remote within the continental United States, with some travel required (15-20%).
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $65,000 - $95,000.
Position Purpose
Through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) Professional Fellowship Program* the Manager, National Youth Voice is responsible for managing activities, engagement and outcomes for the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) National Youth Leadership Council (Youth Council) and related activities that amplify youth voice nationally and across our BBBS network of 230+ agencies.
The Manager, National Youth Voice is a direct report of the Director, Program Development and Scale, working collaboratively within the Program & Impact team, and cross functionally with the Agency Growth team, Youth Safety & Well Being team and other teams across the organization. The Manager, National Youth Voice, is a key driver of activities that support the national office in elevating youth voice in program design and a variety of related projects across the BBBS network.
*This position is aligned to BBBSA’s Professional Fellowship Program, an initiative that engages talented professionals in two (2)-year career opportunities. The candidate identified for this role will be a full-time, benefits eligible employee, fully immersed as a team member and accountable to all BBBSA employee policies and organizational practices. This position is funded for a period of two (2) years from their effective date of hire. Continuation of the position after two (2) years is based on business need for the role and continued funding.

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Years of Related Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience in youth development programs, youth leadership, or youth social-emotional development AND 3+ years of relevant experience in project management, or related areas.
Skills and Knowledge: Experience managing programs that empower youth and young adults as co-designers and advocates; Experience with managing and facilitating youth-led experiences (webinars, listening sessions processes, etc.) and maintaining alignment with organizational priorities and deadlines; Consistent record in managing complex issues with various stakeholders to desired outcome; Ability to be solutions-focused and proactive in managing complex projects and sensitive stakeholder relationships; Demonstrates initiative, creativity and innovation; Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to develop trusting relationships in a remote environment; Highly organized in approach, with ability to set and manage priorities; Advanced proficiency in desktop software, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google docs; Ability to work independently and remotely in achieving results consistently on deadline; Excellent team working skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Excellent coaching and facilitator skills
