As a Pre-sales Engineer, you are responsible for accelerating enterprise sales processes which are critical for our success. In consulting you will drive the solution design process, the forwarders own understanding of the system they want to build, and the forwarders’ conviction that cargo.one is the right partner for them.
This role is responsible for managing all technical relationships and activities across a specific set of target forwarders and will work closely with the Enterprise Account Executives, Vice Presidents, Integration Team, Partnership Success Team, and Product. You will work with forwarders across the globe to provide a comprehensive and world class sales process from initial conversation, through solution design, to handover to the cargo.one Integration Teams.

You will proactively build successful relationships with CIO, Head of Digitalization and other technical counterparts throughout the sales process
You are a core part of the sales organisation and work closely together with Enterprise Account Executives and Vice Presidents who are responsible for bringing new airline partners to cargo.one
You own technical discovery activites
You build a deep understanding of customer requirements and industry trends and use this knowledge to influence airline integration projects and the cargo.one product roadmap
You educate customers about technical integration options, their advantages and disadvantages, you challenge the customers expectations and are a valuable counterpart to them
You lead customer-specific solution design during the sales process
You manage all data security, connectivity and high level system architecture questions and objections that arise during the airline sales process
You support both the Account Executives and Airlines with inputs to business cases during the airline sales proces
You are a fast learner and are keen to drive highly strategic sales processes forward in a small cohesive team
You have 2+ years of experience working in pre-sales engineering (for large or enterprise accounts) in a fast growth venture backed or IPO’d technology company
You have great presentation and communication skills
You have a good understanding of synchronous (e.g. REST APIs) and asynchronous (file transfer, direct database acceess) data exchange methods
You have a good understanding network security devices (e.g. Firewalls) as related to synchronous or asynchronous connectivity
You have had exposure to enterprise sales processes
You are fluent in English (C2)
You have a proven track record of building trust and strong working relationships with enterprise stakeholders
An understanding of micro-services based architectures is a plus
You value building great relationships and trust with your team and managers.
You love experimenting with new ideas and get super excited when you find an opportunity for process improvement.
