About the role:
Chanel is looking for a Manager, Eyewear Merchandising & Operations to join our Eyewear team in New York. This individual will be responsible for implementing a seasonal merchandising strategy for the Eyewear category across all owned distribution (Fashion boutiques, F&B Boutiques, and Chanel.com) and supporting planning and inventory management of the category.

Contribute to the success of the team by identifying business opportunities and challenges across the network, and proactively bringing ideas to the team
You will support the development and implementation of the US Eyewear Pricing strategy
You will contribute to the management of the Eyewear OTB by tracking comprehensive product lifecycle inputs and actualizing files throughout the year
You will analyze sales performance across multiple timeframes (weekly to seasonal) and adjust strategies to optimize sales and profitability
You will manage business reporting for Eyewear Owned channels and develop compelling narrative to support the results
You will track forecasts against sales performance for owned channels
You will support the execution of assortment strategies for all collections across Chanel owned Eyewear distribution channels, for up to 6 collections/year
This role will take the lead in managing the 11 reorder buys/ year for the full perimeter, ensuring business continuity and capitalizing on commercial opportunities
Develop and leverage relationships with the Eyewear Ambassador community to identify assortment opportunities by boutique/market
You will be responsible for inventory management in line with global MOS targets, and managing ecommerce inventory positions; and you will leverage inventory insights to drive business performance
Maintain strong collaboration with the Eyewear Orchestration team to ensure alignment with business goals
Monitor industry trends, influencer activities, and competitive landscape to inform merchandising decisions
Support the implementation of new points of sale, including visual merchandising, backstock, and opening assortment

Experience in merchandising and strong retail business acumen

Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with and creating in BI and data visualization a plus
Position Logistics:
Minimum 8 years of experience
Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence in NYO
Vacation is restricted during buying sessions (up to 6x/year), during which some weekend hours may be necessary. Comp vacation days will be granted in these situations.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is 70,200 through 120,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components may include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
