Contentful is a leading digital experience platform seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to partner with sales teams and customers to drive digital marketing transformations through composable content solutions. This role demands strong technical sales expertise, leadership, and a passion for customer success in a growth-focused environment.

Skills

  • Strong cloud solutions sales engineering experience focused on Marketing, IT, and Development audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to present complex technical and business concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • High emotional intelligence to navigate stakeholder engagement and influence.
  • Understanding of Digital Marketing KPIs and content’s role in marketing strategies.
  • Collaborative team player able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle including discovery, presentations, proofs of concept, and solution design.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders to understand and address their digital marketing objectives.
  • Deliver customized product demonstrations and value-based proof of concepts to illustrate Contentful’s benefits.
  • Assist in responding to RFIs, RFPs, and security questionnaires working cross-functionally to finalize proposals.
  • Provide feedback from customers to internal teams such as Product Management, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Mentor junior Sales Engineers and contribute thought leadership within the Sales Engineering function.
  • Travel up to 50% for onsite customer engagements as needed.
  • Drive internal projects to enhance Sales Engineering team effectiveness and culture.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
