Responsibilities
- Oversee cost control activities ensuring all costs are tracked and aligned with project budgets.
- Develop and maintain cost control systems including reports, forecasts, and change management.
- Collaborate with project teams to review cost data and recommend mitigation for overruns.
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports using metrics like earned value analysis (EVA).
- Track project performance against budget and schedule, suggesting corrective actions.
- Perform detailed cost analysis and risk evaluation supporting project decisions.
- Assist in preparing proposals and budgets with accurate cost estimations.
- Manage project change orders and document financial impacts.
- Assist contract negotiations with subcontractors and vendors to comply with budgets.
- Review contractor invoices ensuring cost legitimacy and agreed terms.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Contribute to business development via strategic input and contract negotiations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, finance, accounting, or related field.
- Master’s degree and relevant certifications like PMP or CCP are advantageous.
